Giovanni Serrano

Hi! My name is Giovanni Serrano, and I am the proud owner of the State Farm Agency in Garland, TX. In December 2023, I had the privilege of becoming a State Farm Agent. This privilege was not something I could simply buy; it had to be earned through hard work and a genuine passion for helping others. Growing up in Garland in the early 90s was challenging, especially for my immigrant family from Colombia. We lived in a low-income household, and I was raised by a single mother who is still my hero. She is also the proud mother of two State Farm agents, myself and my brother Christian. I attribute all of my success to them and the influence they had on shaping who I am today.

I was born in 1993 in Dallas and raised in Garland, specifically in the area near Firewheel Parkway and Pleasant Valley. I graduated from Sachse High School in 2011 and went on to attend Richland Community College. In 2015, I earned my degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, “Comet – WHOOSH”. Owning a business wasn't something I had initially planned for, but now I can't imagine myself not being a State Farm agent.

Being a State Farm agent has given me a wonderful opportunity to not only provide stability for my loved ones but to also help my community navigate the uncertainties of life, recover from unexpected events, and pursue their dreams. My successes with State Farm have also inspired other young adults to envision a future of financial security for themselves and their families. I am grateful to be part of a company that invests in the growth of individuals, regardless of their background, including young Latino immigrants like myself.

In addition to my professional life, I am a husband, a father to an adventurous toddler, and a dog dad to two Husky pups. I also enjoy sports, fast cars, and movie nights as well as spending quality time with my family and friends as it is something I truly cherish.
